Mission by Celsa 'Hazel' Rizofor

  • Take a few minutes to choose 3–5 words that describe yourself
  • For another few minutes contemplate these words as parts of yourself, then as parts of the world
  • Visualise the words becoming parts of the plant realm. Which plant shares similar characteristics?
  • Ask yourself: If I were a plant, what plant would I be?
  • Don't think about it too much, simply observe what comes to mind. Consider this plant as your vegetal familiar.

If you are doing this mission in a group, continue the exercise as follows:

  • Write each word and the name of the plant on a separate piece of paper.
  • Put a large sheet of paper on the wall.
  • Each person comes to the wall, says their name, what plant they think they are, and the 3–5 words describing their personality.
  • They stick the name of the plant on the paper surrounded by their personality attributes.
  • The result should look like a field of flowers, each flower with a name of the plant written in the middle and the plants' characteristics as its petals.
  • Estimated duration: from 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the group
  • Estimated number of participants: minimum 1, maximum 20
  • Vegetal mindfulness: daisy
