===== Flying Ointments; some recipes. ===== 

====Medieval Witches Flying Ointment includes:====

  * Aconite
  * Belladonna
  * Hellebore root
  * Atropine


Witches would rub the ointment on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet, which then lost all feeling, so it felt as if they were flying. A bit disappointing this 'flying cream'.

====Philosophers stone:====

  * Cinnabar (natural form)
  * Mercurous Sulphide Hg-S or 'dragonsblood' (synthetic form)

Take for 1 year with honey. It will make you look younger, and you'll be able to fly.
Take longer and you will become immortal. And by the way, your teeth will drop out and you'll go seriously mad too.

====Berserker's recipe:====

  * Amanita Muscara or 'Fly Agaric' (in Dutch also Ridderzwam = Knightstoadstool).

Although 'Fly' refers to the insect a nice tea made of this fungus can be of great use for aspiring levitators. You can eat it like the Vikings did or drink the urine of someone who did. Oracles used it and it is even suggested that the tonsure  was originally used to place the red fleece of the Amanita on the thin skin of the scalp so that the hallucinogenic stuff could pass into the bloodstream of a monk.

Symptoms include general excitation, temporary blindness, acceleration of pulse, dilation of pupils and hallucination.
