Indeed, but my proposal is that a subset of the Internet of Things(IoT) is forming: the Internet of Organisms (IoO). Like beasts of burden animals in all kinds of places are carrying media technology that goes way beyond a GPS logger. These [[epizoic_media]] collect many kinds of data, forming libraries of signatures of animal behaviour. They work in networks to collect data at herd-level. They enable drones to autonomously find, track and monitor the carrier. Web-platforms enable new experiences and algorithms are proposed for deciding the future prospects of conservation programs.
